It seems to happen when it's colder out (hovering around 30-37 degrees outside, probably 55 in the garage where the furnace is located) and I keep the thermostat set around 71 inside. So far I have cleaned out the furnace filters above the blower, confirmed all electrical connections are tight inside the furnace, swapped out the disposable filter at the intake, changed the batteries in the thermostat and confirmed all of the settings on the thermostat are where they have always been. I'm trying to get a few more months out of it as I'm moving soon and would prefer to not replace it (even though it is most likely past it's life span). I'm confused because it is definitely getting power, but won't make the decision to warm up when it should.Īny advice is welcome. This OEM-friendly product is ideal for short-circuit protection and has numerous design variations to ensure all possible applications are supported. This happens about twice a week, but more often during a cold snap. The Eaton MV VCP-W Circuit Breaker is renowned for its ease of handling and maintenance. I can still turn the fan on, but it won't trigger the burner unless I flip the breaker off and on. I'll notice it not running while 6-7 degrees below the thermostat setting, and when checking the breaker, it's still solidly on.

My poor old furnace is on its last legs and is acting strange.
